Discovering Puerto Rico: A Transformative Journey with Implications for Social Work Practice

An informational and educational presentation by faculty and students who have participated in the Puerto Rico Travel Study. Discussants will share knowledge, values and skills learned while discovering Puerto Rico’s history, environment, and political power in securing a future for success. Implications for social work practice and action will be explored, and Travel Study participants will reflect on the impact of the Puerto Rico Travel Study on their professional development. The program will be interactive with time for questions and answers.

Presented by students, alumni and different travel study cohorts.
