Louise Simmons, Ph.D.
Louise Simmons, Ph.D., is a Professor of Community Organization and Chair of the Urban Issues in Social Work focused area of study. She teaches courses in community organization, political systems, labor and social work, political advocacy, and theory and practice of social movements for community organization. Her areas of specialization include community organization, urban social movements, community-labor alliances, urban politics and policy issues, progressive political movements, and welfare policy.
