Welcome from the Associate Dean for Research
After 23 years in the Midwest, I am honored to have the opportunity to return to the East Coast to be the Associate Dean for Research at the UConn School of Social Work. Directing the Office of Research and Scholarship, I look forward to working with faculty, staff, and students to move our school’s research agenda forward. Our commitment to cultural diversity, our expertise in engaging underserved communities, and our global perspective on human rights, social justice, and public health reflect a unique combination of strengths that will facilitate research growth in the coming years.
This ORS web page is a vehicle for communication about research opportunities and resources and for celebrating our research accomplishments. I will post important and timely links to research funding opportunities and resources; please check this page frequently for updates.
In the months ahead, I look forward to meeting with Social Work faculty and students and with DMHAS staff. I am committed to building a “well-oiled” research infrastructure and your input and communication in this process is essential. Working together, we will identify school-wide research needs, interests and themes. We will build and strengthen the kind of transdisciplinary, collaborative partnerships that are vital for successful and sustained extramural funding in the UConn School of Social Work.
