Current Funding Opportunities

ORS receives and actively monitors notices of new and upcoming opportunities for external funding (research and/or training grants) from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Grants.gov (which includes the above plus all other offices within the US Department of Health and Human Services), the Social Science Research Council (SSRC), and the Foundation Center. In addition, the office receives periodic notifications from other national, state and local agencies about available research and training funds. Information is matched to faculty and doctoral student interests and faculty are notified by ORS as new opportunities are identified.

Faculty are invited to provide ORS with:

1. Information about any additional grant funding organizations they would like ORS to monitor
2. Regular updates about your research interests and activities so we may better match your vision with available opportunities
3. Any information you may obtain about community interest in collaborating with UConn School of Social Work on research, evaluation or training
