The University of Connecticut School of Social Work is among the top-ranked schools of social work in the nation and the highest ranked public MSW program in New England. Faculty and administration are committed to maintaining that ranking, continuing the school’s contributions to the profession, and improving its national and international prominence. The Office of Research and Scholarship, under leadership of the Associate Dean for Research, facilitates these efforts by providing a centralized source of research coordination and support within the administration of the school.
Dean’s Research Incentive Award
The purpose of the Dean’s Research Incentive Award is to enhance research activity in the School of Social Work. The Dean invites applications from faculty who will use the funds for scholarly research that facilitates acquisition of external funds and/or publication in refereed journals.

Increase the quantity and visibility of quality social work research and scholarship to benefit the profession, the university, the community, the state, the nation and the world.
