UConn School of Social Work to host ground-breaking conference: “Health and Human Rights in Connecticut: Building an Equitable Health Care System”

On Thursday, April 28th the UConn School of Social Work will host the first ever conference of its kind in Connecticut. The conference will be an all day event and include a diverse array of speakers presenting on issues related to understanding access to health care as a human right.

Topics include:  Understanding the human rights framework for health equity, challenges and current health disparities in Connecticut, SustiNet, case studies from the field, and building local support.  A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
