We face some unique challenges as 21st century practitioners in a time of global crisis and uncertainty. In this webinar, we will identify some of the key ethical issues supervisors face in a pandemic. Using the NASW Code of Ethics and the Best Practice Standards in Social Work Supervision, produced jointly by ASWB and NASW, we will review strategies to address ethical dilemmas. Participants will receive electronic copies of both guides.

Designed to be thought-provoking and supportive, in this webinar will we will:

  • discuss the supervision standards of the NASW Code of Ethics
  • examine the challenges of supervising paraprofessional and professional staff remotely
  • explore the impact of social media on social work practice
  • identify boundary violations
  • learn how to address ethical dilemmas
