Louise Simmons, Ph.D., is a Professor of Community Organization and Chair of the Urban Issues in Social Work focused area of study. She teaches courses in community organization, economic justice, labor and social work, social policy, and theory and practice of social movements for community organization. Her areas of specialization include community organization, urban social movements, community-labor alliances, urban politics and policy issues, progressive political movements, economic justice, and welfare policy.
