Robert Haswell, LCSW
Robert Haswell, LCSW is a current PhD student at the School of Social Work. Robert earned his MSW from the University of Connecticut and has, for the past ten years, specialized in the provision and supervision of treatment programs for adults experiencing severe substance use and mental health issues. He is currently the Director of Integrated Health at Wellmore Behavioral Health in Waterbury where he oversees the integration of primary care and behavioral health services. Robert is interested in social work’s role in the development, implementation and evaluation of interventions utilizing persons with lived experience to address the behavioral health needs of formerly incarcerated individuals. He plans to utilize his dissertation to explore the experiences of peer workers within broader interdisciplinary service networks and identify how these experiences are influenced by broader economic and social frameworks.
