Stacey Violante Cote, MSW, JD
Stacey Violante Cote, MSW, JD, is an attorney at the Center for Children’s Advocacy. Â She holds and MSW and a JD from the University of Connecticut. Â She is currently the Project Director for the Teen Legal Advocacy Project at the Center. Â Ms. Violante Cote has taught several Training sessions to professionals working with teens, as well as to teens themselves, on a range of adolescent legal issues. Â She is a contributing author toÂ How to Start Your Own School-Based Legal Services (American Bar Association Publishing, 2002). Â Stacey was honored as part of UConn’s “40 under 40”, a select group of accomplished alumni representing a wide array of academic programs. Â She manages the Center’s Mobile Legal Office, the first of its kind i Connecticut and one of only a few across the country. Â The Mobile Office visits locations that are frequented by homeless youth to provide legal consultation or representation.
